The Operations IT Intern is responsible for managing and supporting the technical needs and requirements of field operations for the New Hampshire Democratic Coordinated Campaign in Manchester, NH. This implies understanding the communications and computing equipment needs that the field and other departments of the campaign will require. The job entails managing equipment and networks in several offices and helping field staff troubleshoot and problem solve remotely.
The IT Intern, under the direction of campaign staff, will identify and recruit technically proficient volunteers at each office location, give them appropriate training and coordinate their activities in order to provide hands-on support..
1) Advise campaign staff on best practices for operating technical equipment (laptops, cellphones, wireless networks, office equipment); develop and enforce standards/procedures for implementing solutions
2) Maintain the integrity and continual operation of wireless networks and office equipment
a) Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
b) Keep maintenance schedule and record of issues and repairs
3) Supervise network of technically proficient volunteers
4) To support the Operations department as needed, in addition to the tasks enumerated above
