K-12 English and Math Tutors

Immediate Need for Tutors to work with Inner-City Youth ($20 per hour)

The Tutor Corps Foundation is looking to hire tutors to work with students at the following locations:

  • Excelsior Clubhouse – 6.5 hours per week
  • Tenderloin Clubhouse – 2.75 hours per week
  • Willie Mays Clubhouse – 4.5 hours per week
  • Visitacion Valley Clubhouse – 4.5 hours per week
  • Sunnydale Clubhouse – 7.75 hours per week
  • June Jordan School for Equity – 8 hours per week (several positions available)

Minimum Qualifications for Applicants:

  • Have a B.A. or B.S. degree
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have experience working with underserved communities and at-risk youth
  • Have at least one year of tutoring or teaching experience
  • Commit to working until June 2013 at the minimum

About Us:

Tutor Corps Foundation provides one-on-one and small group tutoring services to under-served students throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. All of our tutors have significant tutoring or teaching experience and many hold advanced degrees and /or teaching credentials. We currently work with the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco, award tutoring scholarships to low-income young women as well as community service grants to Bay Area students.
