TNTP seeks a full-time Internal Communications Manager for our Communications & Publications Department. This position is based in in a home office anywhere in the U.S. or from the TNTP central office in Brooklyn, NY (preferred).

TNTP is a national non-profit that has reimagined teaching. We were founded by teachers and they are at the center of everything we do. Our mission is to end educational inequality by providing excellent teachers to students who need them most and by advancing policies and practices that ensure effective teaching happens in every classroom.

Our Communications & Publications Department works to position TNTP as the nation's most authoritative voice on effective teachers. The department is responsible for TNTP's marketing, public relations and communications efforts – including ensuring TNTP's 300-plus amazing staff are well informed and engaged.

As Internal Communications Manager, you will keep a constant pulse on priorities, manage projects and create clear, compelling communications that help position staff to be effective and engaged in their work. You will be able to adapt to changes quickly, proposing and implementing thoughtful solutions, and collaborate closely with teammates and internal clients, including organizational leadership and central departments such as Human Capital. We expect our Internal Communications Manager to:

  • Be an outstanding communicator. You're able to craft powerful messages that grab attention and inspire action. You have prior experience in communications and an obsessive attention to detail.
  • Embrace a fast-moving organization. Deadlines, changing priorities and new projects don't scare you. Instead, they inspire you to rise to the occasion.
  • Be a natural problem-solver. You can quickly identify challenges, analyze the root causes and make a persuasive case for creative solutions.
  • Be comfortable with technology. You seek out and master new tools for spreading a message, and encourage others to do the same.

What We Offer

TNTP offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with the potential for an annual performance based bonus. We offer a comprehensive benefits plan effective on the first day of employment. We pay 100% of employee-only medical coverage and subsidize the majority of costs for a spouse/domestic partner and children.
