UTEC seeks
an Institutional Giving Manager (IGM)
to manage
an aggressive schedule of
foundation grants and
government contracts
within our fundraising team
.
The
IGM
is involved in the full grant cycle, from prospecting
and proposals through budget amendments, contract management, and internal reporting as well as funder
reports.
R
eports to the Associate Director of Development and
works closely with senior staff across the
organization.
POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
ï‚·
With
Associate Director of Development
, stay up to date on
program
objectives, needs and resources
ï‚·
Interview, inquire and research to develop information into
written proposals
ï‚·
Identify corporate, foundation, and g
overnment funding opportunities
ï‚·
Maintain grant calendar and award information in Development database
(Salesforce)
ï‚·
Draft and/or edit
grant applications,
propos
als and other funding requests
ï‚·
Prepare
budgets in consultation with financial and program staff
ï‚·
Obtain
or prepare
materials necessary to prepare foundation, corporate and government grant
applications and reports (e.g., job descriptions, project descriptions
,
letters of support)
ï‚·
P
rocess,
distribute,
file and acknowledge all grants and contracts received
ï‚·
Produce
foundation
reports in
a timely and effective fashion
ï‚·
Work closely with
program,
evaluation and
fiscal
staff
to
ensure effective contract management,
including
tracking of youth
outcomes and reporting as applicable
ï‚·
Directly manage monthly reporting and billing processes for 1
-
2 contracts
ï‚·
Assist with other
Development processes and writing as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to UTEC's
principles of social change, diversity,
and
community building.
An ability to think critically and creatively, participate in strategic discussions, and develop
new systems as UTEC's size and structure grows and shifts is essential.
At least 3 years of p
roject management or fundraising experience required; past proposal or contract
management experience preferred
