Human Capital Manager

SUMMARY

The Human Capital Manager will oversee all aspects of staff recruitment for the Algiers Charter School Association, with a specific focus on teacher recruitment. This position will work closely with the School Leaders and school support center to attract great teachers and committed professionals to ACSA. The Human Capital Manager will be responsible for setting the vision and goals for recruitment each year, as well as developing innovative ideas for increasing the pipeline of quality teacher candidates. The Manager reports to the Director of Human Capital.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead ACSA’s efforts in attracting high quality educators
  • Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to increase candidate pool quality
  • Improve the current recruitment and selection process utilizing retention, performance, and survey data
  • Manage application and selection process to ensure that candidates move through process in a timely manner with a consistent, positive experience
  • Develop evaluation tools and criteria for applications, phone interviews, and in-person interviews
  • Promote ACSA’s identity as the top destination for creative, committed, and effective teachers
  • Conduct interviews of candidates
  • Collaborate closely with School Leaders and the ACSA’s school support center on the recruitment priorities for the year
  • Develop benchmarks for success and measure, assess, and report on recruitment function performance
  • Work with the Executive Director of Engagement to develop high quality recruitment materials and communications
  • Work with Director of Human Resources on various HR tasks, including conducting background checks and other HR tasks, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of two years of relevant recruitment experience
  • Teaching experience required
  • Experience in non-profit/education field a plus
  • Detail- and results-oriented team player who is dedicated to getting the job done
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team leader
  • Excellent written, oral, and networking skills
  • Outrageous extrovert
  • Ability to develop and implement successful recruitment and selection strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
