Mountain Village Charter School is seeking a Head of School to serve as its philosophical, organizational, and instructional leader.
Opening in the fall of 2014 with two lower elementary classroom (grades 1-3), Mountain Village Charter School is a publicly-funded Nature-based Montessori Charter elementary school in Plymouth, New Hampshire. In the years to come our school will expand until we reach full operation, serving up to 150 students grades K through 8.

At a minimum a Bachelors degree and experience as a leader in an established school.
A passionate commitment to providing public Montessori education.
Formally trained in Montessori method and practices by an accredited organization or willing to pursue such training.
Experience with nature-based educational pedagogy or willing to learn.
Demonstrate an understanding of charter school law or willingness to learn about charter school law.
Strong leadership skills.
Experience/involvement in creating an organization and monitoring sustainability.
Proven experience with staff supervision and budget management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Provide leadership to our school community.
Nurture a school culture consistent with our Nature-based Montessori pedagogy.
Staff supervision and budget management.
Lead in fund development, including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors.
Outdoor classroom experience.
Montessori Elementary and or Leadership certification through an accredited institution.
Administrator/Principal certification and/or experience.
Office and classroom environments both indoors and outdoors.
Forests, rivers, lakes, mountains, schoolyard, and playgrounds
At least 4 years of relevant experience preferred
Bachelor degree preferred
Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
