Linden Waldorf School is seeking a qualified and motivated as a grades class teacher of 20-22 students on their journey beginning January 2014. We are looking for someone who will teach from an understanding of Waldorf education and Rudolf Steiner's indications on child development. He or she will be working as a part of a committed team of teachers and be an active member of our school community.
Our developing Waldorf school is in the exciting process of pursuing full membership with AWSNA. Our early childhood program received WECAN accreditation in 2009. Our enrollment of just over 200 students in four kindergarten programs and eight grades are held by a dedicated, experienced, and diverse faculty, led by a Faculty Leadership Council and supported by a strong administrative team. Our 12-acre campus is located in vibrant Nashville, Tennessee. Situated just minutes away from the bustle of downtown, our school operates on a shared campus with Trinity Presbyterian Church, which features an oasis of rolling hillsides and shaded woodlands for play and exploration.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
1 – 2 years previous classroom experience
Have completed, or be willing to complete Waldorf Certification
• Preparation and instruction of block schedule, art and skills classes for first grade class.
• Document and record student progress primarily through the use of narrative descriptions.
• Preparation of a yearly class play or presentation as indicated by the curriculum.
• Create grade appropriate aesthetically pleasing classroom space
• Prepare and hold regular parent meetings and parent/teacher conferences.
• Participation in weekly section meetings, weekly faculty meetings and all faculty in-services.
This is a full-time salaried position that requires a bachelor's degree. Salary will be commensurate with Waldorf training, teaching experience and education.
