Grade School Branch Coordinator

The Lake Champlain Waldorf School is accepting applications for the Grade School Branch Coordinator position for the 2012-13 school year. A draft job description is available upon request. The Grade School Coordinator is a pedagogical administrative position. It involves ensuring the smooth day-to-day and long term running of the Grade School branch. Our Grade School will consist of approximately 160 students and 18 faculty members in 2012-13. The job will involve event and festival planning, scheduling, and overseeing complicated logistics, evaluations, mentoring, and professional development. Attention to detail as well as long term vision are essential. In addition, since 40% of the position will include classroom teaching, experience as a trained Waldorf teacher is also critical.

Our school was founded in 1984, is a full member of AWSNA, serves students from early childhood through grade 12, is approved by the State of Vermont Department of Education and is well established. We currently serve 267 students. Our community is vibrant and engaging. We have 37 salaried members of our Faculty-Staff, the majority of whom have been employed at our school for many years.

Our grade school is located in Shelburne, Vermont and our High School is located in Charlotte, Vermont. This area is a wonderful place to live and raise children. It is beautiful, with the Green Mountains to the east and Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the west. Shelburne is approximately 6 miles and Charlotte is approximately 12 miles south of Burlington, Vermont. The area has a major University, several colleges, and is a cultural and artistic center.
