Forestry District Manager

Overview District Forestry Manager position under recruitment covers ANR Regional Offices in Springfield and Rutland, covering Windsor, Windham, Bennington and Rutland counties. _______________________________________ General Job Description Managerial, supervisory and technical work in a large geographic District(s) with responsibilities in diverse, complex program areas. Work involves assisting in the establishment of Forestry Division priorities; planning and directing major forestry programs, activities and staff in a District(s). Balances program requirements with workforce availability and acts as a liaison between senior level management and professional field staff. Work is performed in accordance with Division program and policy direction and under the supervision of the Chief of Forest Management with additional guidance from the Commissioner of the Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation (FPR), the Director of Forests, and with coordination from Agency of Natural Resources (ANR) Lands Director. Work is reviewed through management team meetings, reports, conferences, and periodic assessment of accomplishments against Division and program priorities.
