Farm Manager

Land’s Sake Inc. is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and dynamic farm manager to run our 24
acre diversified vegetable farm. The ideal candidate should be positive, engaging, adaptive,
hard-working, community-oriented, creative, and collaborative. Applicants should have 7
to 10 years of organic/sustainable diversified vegetable growing experience, with at least
three of those years spent managing a production farm of similar scale and/or complexity.
Our produce markets include a large CSA program, a busy five-months-a-year roadside
farmstand, and a donations program. We are known for our beautiful, high quality
vegetables and responsive customer service, and we are looking for a farmer that will
uphold those standards.
Land’s Sake is a small and supportive organization where there is a lot of room to make a
big impact as a farm manager. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to
play a critical role in fine-tuning existing farm systems, developing and implementing a
long-term soil fertility plan, potentially re-envisioning a new staffing structure and seeking
out prospective new markets. Successful candidates will embrace logistical complexity
with gusto and can manage production pressure during the height of the growing season.
Growers with experience managing multiple sites, planning a path to and accomplishing
change, leveraging volunteers to good use, and getting the most from farm staff will find this
an exciting opportunity.
