Stonewall Farm’s Visitor Services provides quality products and memorable experiences on our working dairy farm, garden, and education center located on 125 acres of conservation land in south-west New Hampshire. Our mission is to connect people to the land and to the role of local agriculture in their lives. The Farm’s Visitor Services is committed to this mission in all it offers, from rentals of our timber frame visitor center to school programs, special events, and the locally grown products in our farm store.
Job Description: Farm Educator
(part-time, per-diem)
The Farm Educator’s primary responsibilities are to teach education programs and to facilitate educa-tion in general at Stonewall Farm. The work is hourly as needed with school programs for pre-k through grade 12 students Monday through Friday and on weekends for public events, educational birthdays and various other programing.
Duties include:
 Teach a variety of programs focused on farming and environmental education
 Assist in providing care for educational farm animals
 Maintain and organize program materials
 Lead weekend programs and assist with public events
 Act as an ambassador for the farm; engaging visitors and sharing our mission whenever possible
 Assist in preparing for programs and cleaning up facilities and materials afterwards
 Re-set and enhance exhibits in our Discovery Room and Discovery Dome
 Occasional work on other farm projects as needed
Requirements:
 Teaching experience, preferably in non-traditional setting
 Strong communication skills
 Certification in First Aid and CPR
 Able to lift 50 pounds at once
 Working weekend hours as necessary
 Able to work with minimal supervision and in a group
 Experience working on a farm is a plus
