Family Violence Clinician/Advocate

Primary Responsibilities: The position of Family Violence Clinician and Advocate is responsible for providing direct services that respond to the immediate needs of victims of crime and their families. This is facilitated by using a family-centered, strength based model of support and comprehensive case management. Interventions include assessment, advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling, psychotherapy, and safety planning to adults, children and their families. Primary responsibilities include providing trauma informed psychotherapy to adult and child victims of domestic violence.

Major Duties:
Provide individual and family psychotherapy to children and adults who have experienced family violence

Provide advocacy and crisis intervention to clients who have experienced family violence

Facilitate psycho educational and therapeutic groups for children and adults who have experienced family violence.

Develop and maintain curriculums to be used in group facilitation.

Create and execute intervention plans with a multidisciplinary direct service team.

Plan and execute training to community partners of various sizes.

Management of agency clinical referral program including maintaining relationship with community collaborators.

Stay abreast of local and national issues in the domestic violence field

Attend and participate in regular On-Call rotation for 24 hour hotline coverage

Complete other duties as assigned
