|Environmental Analyst – Chief Scientist

The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) and the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program (NBEP) is seeking an Environmental Analyst – Chief Scientist to develop and manage the technical projects and programs of the NBEP. Will act as science liaison between NBEP and federal, state, and local scientists and managers. Will coordinate and facilitate the NBEP Technical Science Advisory Committee as well as various technical subcommittees. Develop, procure, and manage multi-partner competitive technical grants, provide technical input the Program’s website.
The successful candidate must hold a Master’s degree, with preference given to candidates with a Ph.D., in environmental sciences, environmental engineering or related field, with five years’ professional experience. Knowledge and experience with estuarine science and management, particularly in areas of water quality and quantity, watershed management, and/or estuarine ecology. Experience in aquatic or marine science or policy, or coastal zone management.
