Awixa Home of LI, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization licensed and monitored by New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS). Awixa was founded in 2001 to provide children & youth with a safe, nurturing and home-like environment where they will be empowered to change the world with their own two hands.
The primary goal at Awixa is to help our youth reunite with their families, or when there are no families to reunite, to empower our youth to be fully self-sufficient.
Awixa operates two separate nine bed group homes; one for adolescent boys ages 12 years to 21 years old, and one for adolescent girls ages 12 years to 21 years old.
The Group Home Direct Care Worker will report directly to the Group Home Program Manager. We are looking for a concerned, motivated, and capable individual dedicated to continuing our commitment to providing a supportive, structured environment for our residents. The Direct Care Worker will provide guidance, teach life skills and empower our youth to lead productive lives.
The Case Aide will report directly to the Case Manager. The Case Aide will be responsible for meeting with residents, coordinating services, and documenting in Connections.
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience a Must!
Valid NYS Drivers license with a clean record required
