BIOLOGICAL AIDE / KARNER BLUE BUTTERFLY

Summary:
To assist in restoration of Karner blue butterflies including assisting in captive rearing efforts, monitoring invertebrate species in both a lab setting and the wild, collecting and maintaining data and maintaining equipment necessary to conduct restoration efforts. Anticipated start date/end date will be April 4th - September 4th.
Responsibilities:
To assist with captive rearing of Karner blue butterflies in a controlled lab environment
To monitor captive reared Karner blue butterflies released into the wild
To maintain tools and facilities associated with the projects.
To assist with other projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of high school, G.E.D., or its equivalent. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Three year's experience in fisheries or wildlife conservation, commercial fishing, landscaping, carpentry, agriculture, outdoor recreation, or park management, including experience in operating or maintaining equipment.
License Certification: Possession of valid driver's license.
