Associate, Business Operations

About The Position

The Associate, Business Operations is focused on technology administration, data management, and office management. This position will be responsible for delivering excellent organization-wide customer service around systems and technology, and coordinating best in class office management practices across all Education Pioneers locations. They will also assist with the definition, implementation, and documentation of process improvements for technology administration activities, while supporting the delivery of high-quality organizational data. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a passion for systems and technology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to pick up concepts quickly. This is an exempt position who will report to the Associate Director, Business Operations and is located in Oakland, CA.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Administer organization-wide systems, establish and optimize associated processes and policies, and create training and support resources
  • Support data management through audit activities - document processes, conduct reviews and escalate system issues, and conduct systematized clean-up activities
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes for technology components including scheduling, hardware procurement, setup, and access
  • Maintain inventories for computers, telephone equipment, and other technology hardware (e.g., printers, routers, etc.)
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to provide excellent customer service for all staff technology issues and troubleshooting including hardware, systems, and phone
  • Identify and implement process improvements, and maintain associated documentation
  • Assist with facilities management for Oakland office including the management of central phone and email, processing mail and checks, maintaining office supply inventory and management of meeting spaces
  • Implement best practice office management processes and policies, and coordinate with established point people across all EP locations

Key Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of professional experience; Bachelors degree required
  • Demonstrated experience balancing multiple commitments and adapting effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with understanding of project management principles and processes
  • Strong aptitude for working with details, executing effective error-checking, and delivering high-quality work products
  • Demonstrated interest in systems and technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Education Pioneers announces the highest possible salary at the time of this posting. The salary for this position is $40,000
