Applied Behavioral Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: ABA therapists use the principles of behavior analysis to help patients improve social, play, language and academic skills, while helping reduce interfering behaviors. Most therapy delivery will be provided in individual consumer homes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

-Execute delivery of services from positive behavioral support plans
-Utilize highly structured treatment programs that are geared toward the specific patient’s needs.
-Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment program, and make any necessary changes to help patients learn new skills and behaviors more effectively
-Reinforce positive behaviors and intervene when patients exhibit undesirable behaviors
-Ensure quality delivery of services.
-Participate in ABA Therapist certification curriculum that incorporates continuous professional development and implements 1:1 ABA intervention.
-Maintain Gateways Therapy Services’ certification criteria
-Complete all reports and documentation required in service delivery
-Research and share best practices to supervise, plan, revise behavioral support plans.
-Serve as a resource as well as conduct parent/care giver training as needed to ensure quality outcomes.
