Account Coordinator - Entry Level Nonprofit Management

About the Position

The Account Coordinator position acts as the face of our clients, answering member and volunteer inquiries.

A coordinator is responsible for handling customer service aspects of client contracts regarding membership, programs, fundraising, communications, and events.

Coordinators must be effective written and verbal communicators, be able to handle multiple projects, and have acute attention to detail.

This position is a great way to get started in a nonprofit management career: right away you’ll be involved in all aspects of running several small nonprofits.

Key Responsibilities

Member service, such as monitoring phone, mail and email.

Support and attend educational programs

Support outreach to members via newsletters, email marketing, and social media

Update and maintain websites

Complete special projects as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree

Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance multiple priorities

Strong written and verbal skills, excellent interpersonal skills

Self-starter with an ability to learn quickly

Good computer skills, MS Office proficiency

Capacity to work in a team environment

Salary and Benefits

$33,000 to $35,000 starting salary.

Fun and casual office environment at a great location in Old Town Alexandria.
