Marketing Manager, Antioch University New England

Status: Fulltime appointment, Keene NH, Target start date: Early summer 2014

The position

Antioch University New England (AUNE) seeks an accomplished Marketing Manager to collaborate with AUNE’s President and leadership team to implement the tools and strategies that support AUNE’s enrollment goals and retention efforts, and protect and enhance the University brand and reputation. This individual will join Antioch University’s Marketing team to partner with professional peers across five campuses, reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing. This is a fulltime position based in Keene, NH.

We seek a collaborative, highly motivated, and hands-on individual with niche-marketing experience and passion for content strategy and tactical social media engagement. Success in this position will require substantive social media marketing experience and vision; familiarity with social media monitoring and analytics resources, trends, and emerging practices; plus superior communications and teaming skills.

Working closely with the Campus leadership and University marketing and communications teams, the Marketing Manager will develop and execute a comprehensive social media plan for AUNE programs through appropriate channels to drive brand awareness and support campus enrollment efforts; and, implement and report on social media administration, metrics, and monitoring. This individual will also act to ensure appropriate and consistent messaging and relevancy across multiple venues; support Campus events and community outreach; serve as Campus contact for inquiries related to events, sponsorships; and, perform other vital duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communications or advertising
  • Three plus years of substantive marketing, communications, or advertising experience; preferably in the areas of niche marketing and/or higher education
  • Thorough and demonstrated knowledge using social media and emerging social media platforms
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring and analytics resources, trends, and best practices
  • Knowledge of current and emerging communications methodologies and technologies
  • Basic knowledge of communication tools and resources, including HTML, CSS, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator preferred. Working knowledge of WordPress is preferable
  • Expertise planning, prioritizing, goal setting, and managing multiple projects; ability to create detailed action plans and organize schedules and tasks
  • Ability to lead and support, manage and participate in collaborative initiatives and cross-functional teams
