At the level private waterfront, down a 300 yd path from the house with its gradual entry into the very clear water with sandy bottom, there are very interesting rock formations from the long closed granite quarry nearby. We have a big alum canoe, 3 kayaks that you can fit an adult and a kid in each,4 person Paddleboat, rowboat, inflatables, with all the lifejackets,paddles, fishing gear, chairs, tables, BBQ, firepit at what used to be the Stonecutters Cottage, firewood etc etc. There is a large permanent dock and a swim platform set out about 50 feet into the lake for unshaded suntanning. Rockwood pond is about 100 acres with seasonal houses only on half it's circumference. The other half is conservation land with a 'Rails To Trails' pathway for hiking, biking ( using our 8 bikes in the garage) and a great big rope for swinging out and dropping in the lake! We do have a 6 person hot tub out back under the stars that is open from April to Thanksgiving. | |
