Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Green Ideas, Green IdealsAntioch University New England (AUNE) is green to its roots. Almost fifty years of place-based education, environmental studies, and educating for sustainability attests to the fact that AUNE's DNA has always been green. Whether your concerns started years ago alongside ours, or with green issues now in the mainstream news, AUNE is the perfect place to come learn from experts who have been imbuing their teaching and training with green ideas and green ideals from the start. Sustainability is at the heart of so much of what we do. Our Statement of Values states our abiding tenet: we embrace "ecological stewardship and social justice, cultivating local as well as global perspectives to educate students with diverse backgrounds and opinions to become leaders of change. Green Academics: Paths to a Greener WorldIn addition to an institutional commitment to sustainability and social justice, AUNE offers academic programs specifically designed to apply these principles in various professional arenas. MBA in Sustainability (Green MBA)Choose from weekend (two-years), accelerated (one-year) or online options. AUNE's Green MBA is a forward-thinking business curriculum that integrates sustainability throughout the program. MS in Resource Management and ConservationLearn to lead people and manage resources with this 16-month program for working professionals. MS in Environmental StudiesSix concentrations are available. Study sustainable development and climate change (a Professional Science Master's Degree), advocacy, conservation biology, or environmental education. Get your science teacher certification or design your own program. PhD program in Environmental StudiesThe program is broad enough to provide a rigorous foundation in environmental knowledge, yet flexible enough to accommodate individualized research. Educating for SustainabilityAUNE's Department of Education offers the first and only graduate program in the country that explicitly links sustainability and education. This MEd concentration trains in-service educators nationally to apply sustainability at any grade level and every subject area. Two-week summer residency. Fall and Spring online. | ||||
