Financing OptionsCash, Check, or Credit CardPayment of all balances can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Notice for Credit Card Users: In accordance with our credit card Merchant Agreement, if a credit card was utilized on a student’s account within 90 days, any refund due to a student must first be refunded directly to that credit card previously utilized. Students will be notified via FirstClass if this should occur. Any excess refund remaining will be issued in the form of a check. Federal LoansPayment may also be made via Stafford Loan and/or Perkins Loan funds. Stafford funding is available to ALL graduate students who are not in default or who do not owe a refund on any prior federal loans. Students may be eligible for up to $18,500 each academic year ($30,500 each year for Clinical Psychology students), with a portion of those funds being subsidized (meaning you are not accruing interest). Perkins loans are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to those students who demonstrate a high level of need. Loan funds are normally receive via Electronic Funds Transfer and are applied directly to a students account upon receipt. Loan funds disbursed via check are delayed in processing, as they may require the signature of the student before they can be applied to the students account. Students are notified regarding the receipt of any/all funds and if this transaction results in a credit balance, a refund check will be attached to the notification. Third Party PaymentsIf your tuition/fee costs will be sponsored in part or in full by an outside resource, please review the Third Party Payment Procedures to determine if payment be deferred. The Federal Work-Study ProgramProvides paid employment possibilities and is awarded to financial aid applicants with the highest level of need. ANE Scholarships and FellowshipsWe have a limited number of scholarships and fellowships available to our students. These include funding for Waldorf Teacher Training, Jonathan Daniels Scholarship, as well as Reader’s Digest and Bender (Dance/Movement Therapy program) fellowships. Outside ResourcesThe World Wide Web is an excellent starting point, the most notable sites for financial aid students are http://www.finaid.org or http://www.fastweb.com. Here, students will find not only free searches for grants and fellowships, but Expected Financial Contribution (EFC) calculators, estimated repayment calculators and Federal Aid information. In addition, talk to your local librarian. There are several good graduate funding publications out there and your librarian may be able to point you in the right direction. Are you affiliated with any organizations that might have funds for education? Are any of your family members? Many organizations award scholarships or grants to students who are connected to them either directly or indirectly. | ||||
