Interactive Teaching Skills Workshop

Location: TBA

At AUNE, our purpose as a higher ed institution is to provide “transformative education through scholarship, innovation and community action for a just and sustainable world.” We know that our faculty, students, and alumni are changing the world.

But what does the idea of Transformative Education look like within the practical realities of our classes? What are we currently doing and what could we be doing better to increase the power of the learning experience? How do our instructional practices model the learning processes we want our students to engage in when they leave us–and how can we model the kinds of facilitative instructional skills they’ll need as leaders? This two-hour workshop will offer not only an introduction to the philosophical underpinnings of progressivist learning theory, but also hands-on, practical examples of techniques, tools and processes that you can use in your own classes, plus resources to explore on your own.

Come share and learn with your colleagues from across different departments. Questions? Contact Laura Thomas on Gmail.

This event is by invitation only.
