RMC Approach to Curriculum

There a number of lens through which to view the RMC curriculum, these include the educational objectives of understanding the “systems” in which environmental professional must operate; the synthesis of theory, application and reflection and the balance between policy, science and skills.

RMC Systems Approach Diagram

As professionals, RMC students must be cognizant of both the natural and human ecological realities within which the current environmental challenges are embedded. Because the human systems of politics, economics and resource use are necessarily a part of, and dependent upon, systems and related cycles of the natural world, RMC students need to understand the construct and language of each system and how these various systems interact.
