Jennifer is a researcher, writer, educator, and environmental artist working with communities located near protected areas. Her interests and background include education, critical theory, participatory research, and social justice. She conducted her doctoral research with artisans in crafts cooperatives in locations abroad and in the U.S. Her dissertation research explored how artisans using natural resources in craftsmaking understand conservation. Jennifer's ongoing research revolves around the common interests of artisans and environmentalists.
