Jane leads a lesson in a second grade class on "The difference between wants and needs"

"I shared slides of schools I'd visited and worked in, in Bali and India, highlighting the simple materials that children use in schools there. (Contrast what these children have with what we have.)"

"Then, I led these second graders in making a mandala out of flower petals as I'd seen children do in India. This tied in with the second graders' study of symmetry."
