Received her doctorate in physiological psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1976, and did a sleep disorders internship at Dartmouth College in 1983.
Dr. Lindsley wears two hats, as a licensed clinical psychologist and sleep disorders specialist, the two often complementing each other clinically. She has a private practice, SleepWell, in Lexington, MA and is on staff in a group private practice, LaMora Psychological Associates, in Nashua, NH.
She has taught courses in psychopharmacology and biological psychology both at Antioch New England and Lesley University, and a Sleep Dimensions in Psychotherapy course at Antioch NE as well. She is a member of the Lexington Youth Forum, a group of local mental health clinicians who consult with the Lexington, MA school system. Through that organization, she wrote an article entitled Stress in adolescents: Sleep as the unsung hero for a local newspaper. She has published original research papers and numerous textbook chapters.
