Dr. Eagan received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Antioch University New England in 2000. He completed his predoctoral internship at the Astor Home for Children in Rhinebeck, New York. Thereafter, Dr. Eagan deepened his interest in the understanding and treatment of emotionally troubled and attachment-impacted youth. He has presented on play therapy at a range of venues including the New York State Play Therapy Convention and the Dutchess County, New York, Play Therapy Institute and has offered several continuing education workshops in the Boston area. He maintains a private practice in Newburyport, Massachusetts, where he works with adults and youngsters along with their families. He continues to explore the integration of attachment and neurodevelopmental research with the implicit and explicit ways in which both younger and older people communicate their needs within the psychotherapeutic treatment context.
