Block Seven - 2008 Program

Postive Psychodiagnosis

with William Bento & Kim John Payne

This block will help the parent, teacher, and helping professional avoid the pitfalls of the harmful, negative effects of diagnostic labels. An attitude of compassionate concern, informed by positive psychological insights and an anthroposophical view of childhood development will be the guiding light for this course. Learning how to read beyond the label and see the struggling spirit within the child or teen can give options to healing that may not be so evident at first sight. It is this quality of discernment that is our desired outcome in this course. We will learn to honor the struggle and celebrate the developmental milestones of our children and teenagers as they navigate through an increasingly complex world.
