Waldorf Sequence of Study
Year-Round Program
The MEd in Waldorf Elementary Specialization is a 40-credit program; the Certificate program is 28 credits.
- You begin your program during the summer with an intensive, three-week term.
- In the first fall and spring semesters, classes in curriculum and the arts meet on Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. In addition, students do a supervised internship in the spring semester, three days a week.
- In your second summer semester, you participate in a three-week intensive. Certificate students complete their programs at the end of this semester.
- The final fall semester for MEd students is spent in a second supervised internship. This internship can be anywhere in the U.S. or abroad.
Summer Sequence Program
- This program admits students in alternating summers. An upcoming summer session begins in July 2008. Its delivery model is designed for current Waldorf educators or for those who live a significant distance from Keene, New Hampshire.
- Both Certificate and MEd students study for three consecutive summers at our summer campus, the Pine Hill Waldorf School in Wilton, New Hampshire. Certificate students register for 2 additional semesters for Supervised Independent Study and Internship/Practicum work (5 total semesters). MEd students register for 4 additional semesters for Supervised Independent Study, Internship/Practicum (2) and a Master’s Project (7 total semesters).
