Integrated Learning Internships
In Integrated Learning classes, students have created original puppet shows based on
children’s literature; explored playground physics as a way to approach physical science with elementary age students; and studied Japanese culture as an example of integrated, thematic curriculum. In recent internships, students have designed nature trails on local conservation land with fourth graders; conducted poetry recitals with middle school children; taught students to make iMovies about regional geography; mapped cemeteries with children to deepen their understanding of local history; and coordinated
a Wild Animals That Nobody Likes production to teach writing and celebrate Halloween.
Internships are available in a variety of public, independent elementary schools, nature centers, and early childhood learning centers:
