Experienced Educators with New Hampshire Principal Certification-- 40 credits
The mission of the principal certification program is to develop school administrators who can articulate their purpose, goals, and values, and have the knowledge and skills to put them into action. The program is tailored to teach students both the specific and the general capacities desired of a complete school leader with a thorough grounding in educational theory and practice. Students acquire skills in systems and strategic thinking, collaboration and group dynamics, financial management, and human resource management. Students become school administrators who are responsible for making a difference in themselves, their schools and their communities.
The ExEd principal certification program is a 40-credit M.Ed. program for professional educators, with at least three years of teaching experience who wish to become certified as administrators in school systems while continuing to work full-time. Principal certification students combine coursework from both the Experienced Educator Professional Development concentration and the Principal Certification Post-Master's Certificate. Certification is conferred in conjunction with the State of New Hampshire. All applicants should check with the State Board of Education of the state in which they are seeking certification to confirm the requirements for that particular state’s certification.
