Rick Gordon, PhD
Rick is a founding board member and school director of the Compass School in Westminster, VT. Rick's doctoral work was in Social and Multicultural Foundations of Education at the University of Colorado. He has directed several small businesses and facilitated leadership development for a variety of organizations in addition to consulting with many schools and school districts. Rick is teaching this summer's course Leading Transformations in Education.

Susan Dreyer Leon
Susan Dreyer Leon is a core faculty member in the Department of Education at Antioch University New England and has a special focus on Antioch University New England's participation in the Monadnock Region Public Schools of Choice federal grant which builds alternative learning options for area students. She has 15 years experience as a teacher and leader in New York City and Vermont. She has been an active member of the Coalition of Essential Schools network since 1990 and is a National Trainer for the National School Reform Faculty. Susan's interests include school change, teacher leadership, student voice, democratic schooling and contemplative practices in education. Susan will be co-facilitating the NSRF Coaches training for School Leaders, and the Professional Seminar for school leaders. Learn more about Susan Dreyer Leon

Steve Tullar
Steve Tullar is the principal of the Westminster Schools in Westminster, Vermont. Although Steve is currently serving our program by teaching School Finance, his interest in educational leadership issues is much broader. Some of this other areas of expertise include: place-based experiential learning, project learning, integrating science and environmental learning, emergent/responsive curriculum, technology and design. These diverse interests and experiences help Steve show students how to use the power of financial management to drive instruction and learning goals for their schools. Francie Marbury
Francie Marbury is the principal of the Marlboro Elementary School in Marlboro, Vermont. A veteran progressive educator, Francie brings a wealth of experience to our courses in conflict resolution and human resource management from the perspective of how to support and sustain the development of adults as learners and leaders in a small school community. Daniel Rossi
Daniel Rossi is the former principal of the Harvey Milk High School in New York City. With over a decade's experience in urban and alternative education, Dan brings a powerful combination of practical skills and progressive vision to our program. He will be teaching our Equity for School Leaders course. This course helps Antioch students explore the complex intersections among learning, race, class, gender and power and affirms that establishing educational equity is the primary responsibility of every school leader.

Sheila Moran
Sheila Moran is the long-time former principal of the Sharon Elementary School in Sharon, Vermont. A pioneer of the place-based education movement, and strong advocate for teacher empowerment, Sheila teaches our Building Community Connections course, will help aspiring leaders envision deeper levels of relationship between schools and the communities of which they must be a vital part.
