Educating for Sustainability ConcentrationMaster of Education, 32 creditsAs educators, we are agents for change, and change is needed now. Our current way of life is not sustainable. What is required to achieve sustainability is a paradigm shift, and that can only be effected through education. Educating for Sustainability (EFS) is about helping people learn how to meet their needs without compromising future generations' abilities to meet their needs. This MEd concentration focuses on the interdependence of environment, economy, and equity—the three Es of EFS—and how we may apply EFS at any grade level and in every subject area. It is the first and only graduate-level program in the U.S. linking education and sustainability.
