Evaluation of a university clinic-based intensive family intervention program: What's in a name?
Rosemarie Coratola (2007)
This study provided an initial assessment of a university-based clinical program for families at risk of child maltreatment in Keene, NH. The Antioch Psychological Services Center (PSC), Intensive Family Intervention Project (IFIP) had been in existence for 15 years; however, an evaluation of these services had not occurred. Requests for increased program accountability in the mental health field contributed to the impetus for this project. The program was reviewed for adherence to its mission and goals, and services provided. Additionally, child maltreatment prevention models were reviewed, and a suggested best fit for the IFIP was provided. Supplementary suggestions for future program development were offered. Finally, a proposal regarding the program title was suggested.
