Overview

I started my professional career as a reference librarian in public libraries but find academic librarianship much more to my liking. My particular interests in research and education (I started out as an elementary education major at Keene State College many years ago!) dovetail nicely in this environment where I can serve as a guide for both students and faculty through the increasingly complex world of information. Because Antioch New England is a small institution we are able to provide very personalized service to our patrons and really get to know them; that is one of the most rewarding things about my work here. Also, I have had great on-the-job training in web design as the library’s webmaster. In addition to reference, cataloging, and web maintenance duties I am excited about planning and presenting workshops in a variety of areas designed to increase our students’ information literacy skills.
