Overview

Welcome to my home page!

I am a tropical ecologist and conservation biologist with current interests in forest regeneration dynamics, forest phenology, primate seed dispersal, and protected areas management. Please see Professional Goals link for details.

I have devoted the majority of my research career to Nyungwe National Park, Rwanda. The Albertine Rift in East Africa is the central focus for my research interests.

Geographically and geomorphically speaking, I have a soft spot for high elevation tropical forests, with their blend of altitudinal gradients, climate swings, and island-like ecology that leads to a fascinating diversity of flora and fauna.
