CROPP Research Activities

Applied Research such as Program Development and Program Evaluation

CROPP Stained GlassCROPP consults on and conducts a wide range of applied research projects in community settings. This research is designed to add to knowledge of the effectiveness of psychological practice as conducted in real world settings. CROPP applied research efforts are also designed to empower community agencies to learn about and improve their services to clients, create more effective organizational cultures of care, and to advocate for their own needs with internal and external stakeholders. CROPP's program evaluation efforts are greatly enhanced by active collaboration with George Tremblay, another AUNE faculty member with expertise and experience in program evaluation.

Psychotherapy Training

CROPP conducts brief psychotherapy training for mental health organizations and clinicians in the community. We tailor these trainings to the specific needs of the organization, but all of the trainings are designed to help clinicians make every session count. CROPP evaluates each training to assess the extent to which it improves clinical services and organizational cultures.

Rural Mental Health

CROPP is committed to increasing the access, utilization, and effectiveness of mental health services to rural underserved client populations through program development, program evaluation, and influencing public policy. We will actively seek to collaborate with regional stakeholders to better provide mental health services to this underserved population. As always, CROPP also evaluates the effectiveness of such services whenever possible.
