Community Outreach

At Antioch University New England we believe that a brighter future begins with curiosity, exploration, learning, and the desire to effect change. We reach deeply into the world around us, often beginning at home in our local communities—to educate and learn from those in our towns. As a student you may find yourself developing hands-on programs as a student teacher in local public, private, and charter schools; consulting with concerned community members regarding waste management or smart-growth planning; or counseling citizens facing personal mental health challenges.

If you live near Antioch New England, your children may have walked the woods in classes with alumni who learned of the importance of land conservation at ANE. Or maybe your selectpersons have applied what they discussed with other officials at a Selectpersons Institute run by Antioch New England Institute. You may have met with a mental health counselor who helped you through a difficult time, or have been inspired by managers whose focus on healthy work environments have been felt by you as a consumer. Antioch New England is committed to tackling the issues that affect local communities and its citizens.
