Tom Wessels, core faculty member in the Department of Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England (AUNE), was interviewed by Virginia Prescott on New Hampshire Public Radio’s Word of Mouth on Tuesday, April 6.
Wessels talked about his new book, Forest Forensics: A Field Guide to Reading the Forested Landscape, in which he writes about scouring the wilderness for clues to the land’s past.
In May, he will use his Forest Forensics technique to read the historical landscape in Hinesburg, Vermont, where black settlers lived from 1790 to 1890. His work is part of a project by two AUNE alumna who are writing a curriculum on early black Vermonters.
