Antioch University New England (AUNE) will host a free World Wide Waldens workshop, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 9.
The workshop, titled “Environmental Ethics and Action,” is geared to middle and high school teachers but is relevant to all educators. Teachers learn how to foster environmental ethics in students through fun, thought-provoking activities and group discussions. They will take away practical tools and ideas for their classrooms and learn how to connect environmentally minded students across the globe.
Participants receive curricular materials, lunch and a small stipend. Space is limited and is first come, first serve. To register, email Susan Frey at Susan.Frey@walden.org.
The workshop is part of World Wide Waldens, an environmental ethics and action program that includes the Walden Youth Leadership Summit, the Live Deliberately Essay Contest and the World Wide Waldens Project Showcase. It is funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
