Still Time to Sign Up for Education Courses at AUNE This Summer

The Antioch Center for School Renewal at Antioch University New England (AUNE) has spaces remaining in two week-long courses for educators and administrators scheduled this summer. The Level I Critical Skills Institute, and the Facilitative Leadership for Professional Learning Communities will both be held July 11-15 at AUNE.

The Level I Critical Skills Institute will help educators learn to develop the classroom as a collaborative, problem-solving community, targeting the Critical Skills alongside the curriculum. It is being taught by Peter Eppig, a core faculty member in AUNE’s Department of Education.

The Facilitative Leadership course will train teachers and administrators to develop and maintain professional learning communities based on collaborative learning and communication. It is being taught by Gillian Smith, founding principal of the Facing History School in New York City and a member of the board of directors for School Reform Initiative, Inc., the parent organization for Critical Friends Groups. Smith is also an adjunct faculty member in AUNE’s Department of Education.

Graduate credit is available for these events.
