Students working at AUNE’s Psychological Service Center (PSC) recently attended an in-service on sand tray therapy, taught by Dr. Gina Pasquale, affiliate faculty in AUNE’s Department of Clinical Psychology.

Sand tray therapy is a psychotherapeutic tool that can be used with children, adolescents, and adults to explore the boundary between what is conscious and what is unconscious in human experience.

The PSC holds in-service trainings like these every two weeks on topics of clinical interest. As a counseling center serving AUNE students and the community, the PSC is also a model training program in professional psychology for the doctoral students in the PsyD department. Ten to twelve students work as clinicians there each year, supervised by PsyD faculty.
