The Department of Clinical Psychology is very pleased to announce that Dr. Nancy S. Elman will be this year’s Field Supervisors Day speaker on April 16th. Dr. Elman is Emeritus Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, where she served for many years as training coordinator for the doctoral program in Counseling Psychology, and she maintains a private practice in Pittsburgh. Dr. Elman served as the 2009 Chair of the APA Commission on Accreditation.
She has authored or coauthored numerous articles and spoken widely on the challenges of identifying, remediating and dismissing students with competence problems.
