Sarah Maine, MBA in Sustainability ’10, wrote in to share about a program she is working on this summer. Camp Start Up is an entrepreneurship camp for teens that will take place this August. Sarah hopes everyone will spread the word about this opportunity to those who might be interested in attending. Sarah wrote, “Hi everyone! I’m working on a cool project this summer called Camp Start Up – it’s an entrepreneurship camp for teens. This year, for our 20th anniversary edition, we are running the camp in Oxford, United Kingdom, in August. It will be a ten-day residential program, with a curriculum focused on financial fluency and mining the entrepreneurial spirit. Please check out the flyer and feel free to forward to anyone who might be interested in sending their kids. I’m happy to answer any questions and send additional info!”

On March 4 there was a spontaneous AUNE reunion at the 2014 Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts (SBN) Local Food Trade Show at Northeastern University in Boston. The trade show was designed to facilitate connections and stimulate trade between buyers and producers of local crops and food products. This event was organized by SBN and supported in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. Through this grant, SBN’s focus is on promoting specialty crops, but they also hope to engage other local food producers and interested wholesale buyers from Massachusetts and New England. Over 250 people attended the event from all over New England.
