How to Create a More Vibrant Local Economy

What’s the alternative to an increasingly dysfunctional global economy? The discussion starts with a documentary film, The Economics of Happiness, followed by a panel, during Transition Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, in the Community Room at Antioch University New England (AUNE).

The discussion will focus on how innovative local people around the world are coming together to rebuild ecological economies that are more human scale. The panel will include Michael Faber, general manager of the new Monadnock Community Market, and AUNE alumna Jen Risley, ’04, staff member of the Hannah Grimes Center and the Monadnock Buy Local business association.

The event is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by AUNE and Transition Keene Task Force.
