Dr. Martha Straus Hosts “Shrink Rap” Film Series

Professor and author Dr. Martha Straus is hosting a film series called “Shrink Rap,” which debuted on June 7. Each of the films, “Prime” (Meryl Streep), “Deconstructing Harry” (Woody Allen), “Spellbound” (Hitchcock), and “Lars and the Real Girl” (Paul Schnieder), features a different kind of therapist/patient relationship.

Dr. Straus will introduce each film and, following the film, will facilitate an informal conversation about the treatment as portrayed in the movie as well as broader questions of therapeutic boundaries, insight and transformation. The remainder of the schedule is as follows:
