Dean Hammer, PsyD on “Psychological and Structural Aspects of War”

Department of Clinical Psychology alumnus and faculty member, Dean Hammer, PsyD, will be presenting at the Psychologists for Social Responsibility (PsySR) Conference, held in Boston July 14 – 16.

Dr. Hammer will be facilitating a panel entitled Psychological and Structural Aspects of War on Saturday, July 16 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Other panelists are Floyd Rudmin, Kathie Malley-Morrison and Ian Hansen. The panel description is as follows: Psychology is central to waging and ending wars. Our panel will discuss nonviolent methods toward peace, psyops, transparency (e.g., Wikileaks), recruitment methods, drones, and PTSD-related issues, and the “culture” wars.
