The Spirit of Inclusion: Holistic Special Education will be held at Antioch University New England (AUNE) on Thursday, May 8, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room. It is free and open to the public.
The event, sponsored by AUNE’s Education Department, features the film Including Samuel, as well as stories of heart and courage from area educators who, by example, are leading the educational inclusion movement.
Marisa Duncan-Holley, director of special education for the Windham Southeast Supervisory Union in Brattleboro, Vermont, will be the featured speaker.
Who should attend? Teachers, parents, administrators, social service providers, and anyone interested in how people with differing abilities are included in our lives and our culture.
Information about AUNE’s new Holistic Special Education certification program will be available before and after the event. Documentation of professional development hours is included. And we’ll serve refreshments; just let us know that you’re coming. Contact Krishni Pahl firstname.lastname@example.org or (603) 283-2314. Register here for the Spirit of Inclusion.
