AUNE Team to Train Incoming Science and Technology Policy Fellows

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world’s largest scientific organization, has contracted with the Center for Academic Innovation at Antioch University New England (AUNE) to deliver the Translating Science to Inform Policy: How to Participate Effectively in the Policy Process workshop to 170 incoming AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellows.

Abigail Abrash Walton, CAI director, and Carolyn Bartholomew, former chief of staff, legislative director, and general counsel to U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi and AUNE visiting professor, will deliver the workshop on September 9 in Washington, D.C. Joanna Wozniak, the CAI’s project assistant for the Translating Research to Inform Policy Project and AUNE PhD student, will staff the training.

The Science and Technology Policy Fellows will serve on Capitol Hill and in executive branch agencies, including the departments of Health and Human Services and Energy, the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
